Strategic Design Assignment
A rebrand of FreeZA’s youth music initiative in Whitehorse. The original branding struggled to connect with its audience, so the brief was to create a fresh identity that resonated with 15–21 year olds while highlighting the inclusive, hands-on opportunities the program offers. The rebrand centred on a new name, Soundspace, and the campaign “Play Your Part,” which reframes youth involvement as more than just attendance.

Project
The final identity system delivered a bold, youth-driven campaign that balances energy with accessibility. The direction — inspired by 1970s music advertising, provided a flexible visual style built on strong typography, a monochrome palette, and a single accent colour for impact. This rebrand gave Soundspace a distinctive voice across digital platforms, print collateral, and event branding, positioning it as an empowering, safe, and creative space for young people to engage with music and community.
